Can you boot from a rescue disk? That's pretty much what
you're going to have to do, I think. Get a "rescue" floppy
image and an install boot disk image and make "rescue"
and "boot" diskettes. When the boot disk comes up and
prompts for what you want to do, type "rescue." It should
then prompt you for the "rescue" disk. When you've mounted
the rescue disk, try running e2fsck on the hard drive. Try
reading the "e2fsck" man page for more help.
