Daniel,

Here's how I have my mail fitering setup:

    - I use fetchmail to download my wife's mail and my mail from my ISP
using POP3

    - fetchmail hands the mail off to sendmail which has procmail configured
as a local mailer (this was the default setup when I installed sendmail)

    - procmail filters my wifes mail based on the rules set up in her
.procmailrc file in her home directory

    - I use UW IMAP server to serve the mail on my home LAN. This allows
either my wife or myself to access our mail from any of the 4 machines on
our lan and have it be the same at each machine.

    - The procmailex man page gave me everything I needed to set up my
wife's .procmailrc file. I can send you an example of my rc files if you
need them. I never had to touch my .forward file, in fact I don't have one.

I'm not sure if this helps if you need any other clarification just ask.

David
