I'm trying to install gnome, but I've run into a problem. I've
downloaded all the packages and then ran
rpm -ivh *
failed dependencies:
libc.so.6.1(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by umb-scheme-3.2-9
libc.so.6.1(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by umb-scheme-3.2-9
libm.so.6.1(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by umb-scheme-3.2-9
libm.so.6.1(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by umb-scheme-3.2-9
I then downloaded glibc-2.0.7-29.alpha.rpm and ran
rpm -ivh glibc-2.0.7-29.alpha.rpm
package glibc-2.0.7-29 is already installed
error: glibc-2.0.7-29.alpha.rpm cannot be installed
What's going on here. I appear to have the necessary
libraries, but they aren't being recognized when I try to install
umb-scheme.
