Boot delay - "Starting Sendmail"

Hello, I've recently installed Red Hat v6.0 and changed my hostname to
something more to my liking than "localdomain". I had no idea what to
use as an ip address so I guessed 0.0.0.0 (hmm...).
Now when I boot there is a 5 minute delay at "Starting Sendmail". Is
this a coincidence?
Also I unchecked "DOS Connectivity" at install, but would like to add it
now. Can you help me?
