I'm sure a commercial product like Conversions Plus can do the job (i.e.
stripping <CR> and adding <CR><LF>). Also, I have had some success opening
UNIX text files in Microsoft Word and then saving them as text...WordPad may
also work, but Notepad will show odd characters within one long line of
text.
