Aha, hmmm, that lets one question come up. I think about upgrading to a
2.2 kernel and therefore want to upgrade with a RH6.0 distribution and then
just "exchange" the boot kernel with new stable versions. I know that i
basically can do that with my RH 5.2 too, but I read on the list, that
major upgrades besides the kernel itself have to be done.
Since i use Linux i fought through many problems and finally got many
things working the way i think they are supposed to, for example KDE 1.1.1
and KDE / QT apps. What happens if i just do an upgrade with a RH 6.0
distro ? Will the already installed software still run thereafter ?
Do you have any experience in upgrading ? Or do you recommend rather to do
a total new installation and then install all the apps and KDE 1.x.x (which
newest version is available) ? The second way would be far more work.
I hope u don't mind if i post it to the list too, maybe someone can
enlighten me.
