>Looks that way - I bought my distro off the shelf at the local Staples

My distro is the cheap edition without the printed manual and came along
with 4 CDs, two with Linux and apps and two with all the source codes on
them. So just taking the fact that you got 3 Cds and me 4 leads me to the
conclusion that there are defenitely different versions of RedHat 5.2
distributions, which is imho pretty dumb. That robs any point of
orientation will make giving advice more difficult or confusing - as we
just proofed with the usekde thingie.
The Bonus CD contained extra software, as well as four complete
>Linux books in .pdf format. Also included was a pre-made boot floppy, and a
>385-page installation guide. The installation guide is very well done, and
>did a nice job of walking me through the installation and configuration
>process.
I was a damn poor student when i bought Linux and could only afford the 30
marks version (about 17 US-$) where just the CDs came with a small booklet
with the basic instructions how to do what.
Hmmm, strange, strange.
