I've heard of a place where you can download a generic
"boot floppy." However, your best bet is to do a reinstall
and dual-boot Linux/Dos. My suggestion would be (to make
things easier on your wife <G>) to make DOS the default
when prompted.
If you need to back anything up (you should be able to
bypass any formatting, especially if you do an "upgrade"
install) you can use the boot and rescue images off your
CDROM (in the /images directory) to make an "install boot"
floppy and a "rescue" floppy. Used with the install boot
disk, the rescue floppy will let you mount your Linux
partition and back it up, etc.
