1 - get, install, configure fetchmail
2 - setup pine to look in the default place for your INBOX (if you
haven't changed it just leave it)
3 - point pine's smtp server to localhost
4 - make sure sendmail is running in "queue only" mode (it doesn't try
to send mail unless you explicitly tell it to). Find where
sendmail is loaded from (I'm not a RedHat man so I can't tell
you) and make sure it is loaded something like this
"/usr/sbin/sendmail -bd".
And that's basically it. You can automate your email send/receive by
adding a couple of lines to /etc/ppp/ip-up...
