This question might not be appropriate for this list, but its a starting point.. I am interested in some information about how to start to program the following in C++.. I want to monitor the line in or mic of a soundcard (ensonique 1371 / sb) and manually control specific pins on either the parallel or serial port (this will plug into a series of Triacs)... I want to make a software light generator... which would mean I would need to filter the audio in various ways and turn a pin based on some signal strength... high and low pass filters are enough... do these exist in one of the libraries? I assume they do somewhere since they are used in MP3 players... I am familiar with C++ (as much as a year at school could teach)... anyone send me in the right direction? or should I stick to my opamp hardware system?
