I tried that.. basically it feels like the keyboard is not connected to the
computer now and
The Gnome footprint is partially displayed.. Only 4 toes are showing from
the top of the footprint.

I can turn the machine off and on to clear up the problem.. However, Gnome
will no longer work..
It is like something got damaged when it locked up the first time.
