Not sure what you mean by a "stiffie" disk, but if you are booting Linux
using a floppy, replace "make zImage" with "make bzdisk", and make sure
you have a floppy in fd0.
Also, remember to follow the advice from a previous post on this thread
to update /boot/vmlinuz and /boot/System.map
