I am having trouble getting PPP to connect under RedHat Linux 5.2. It dials
and runs my chat script correctly, and evetually gives me a connected message
in the log file, but when I run ifconfig, ppp is not listed, and I can't talk
to the network. Is there a common problem that I am missing? I am supposed to
connect with PAP, and my pap-secrets file looks fine. I'm not sending username
or pword with the chat script.
Any thoughts?
