I have another question for you..
Does anyone know if a HP Colorado Jumbo 700 tape drive will work
under Linux (Kernel 2.2.11, RH6.0) ?.
I have checked with the hardware compatibility list and can see no
mention of said beasty.
I have checked the HP web site and can find no mention of
compatibility (nor can I find any useful documentation of such an outdated
model, so any information you can send my way would be appreciated)
I have done numerous web searches (all unsuccessful)
I have read the ftape HOWTO and am still no wiser.
I have installed the unit and it 'makes the appropriate noises' when
a tape is installed, but I am continuously getting the 'tape not loaded'
message when I try to 'do' anything with it..
Please help. Any pointers, tips, help, web references or other
information would be _really_ appreciated.
