Boy, that sure looks like the correct result for 'ls' envolked in ftp.
BTW, depending on how you have ftp configured the result of ls may vary,
but it appears to me you have 3 dirs in your /home/ftp directory, and no
files. The dirs are pub, bin and etc. The other two entries ('.' and
'..') are the present directory and the next dir up (likely /home if you
accepted default setup of ftp).
Looks like you are good to go.
If it don't look like DOS it's 'cause it ain't. Try 'dir' in a ftp
session, this my look mor like what you expected to see.
