Actually, it is better to tell us a bit more than what Richard (and Lawson)
asked for --quote not just the error message, but the command that produces
it as well.
While I can't tell you what is causing whatever error you are seeing,
**possible** problems with module installation include:
-- you upgraded your kernel and didn't make a corresponding
upgrade to the modules
-- the module you are trying to install isn't present on the
system
-- the module can't find the device it is supposed to enable
(for example, you're installing a NIC driver and
have specified the wrong io base address)
-- there is a typo in the line you are using to try to install
the module
-- the module is already installed and you are trying to
install it a second time (or the same ability is enabled
directly in the kernel)
This list may help you spot the problem yourself. If not, please repost with
more detail.
