>From the Slackware 4.0 distribution, I am trying to implement the 'zipslack' installation of Linux. Loadlin does load the kernel properly into memory. The boot stops with an error message that says the 2.2.6 kernel can't mount the root volume. The message suggests a bad partition table. Does anyone have any information about WIN98's partition table that might shed some light on why the Linux 2.2.6 kernel can't read it? TIA for any information. Jim
