It doesn't matter whether you choose text or GUI mode. Just choose a
'Custom' Install , and you will be able to decide what you want and what
you don't want. Note that it first gives you a choices of the groups only
; to choose individual packages , check the box ( in GUI mode ) or check
the box with a spacebar key ( in text mode ) the box that says , "Select
Individual Packages" , and you can actually choose the individual packages
that you want, though IMO , to a _beginner_ , it would be unnecessary.
