 You don't give error messages or anything, but lets give this a try.


 I'm going to assume the web page you made is called index.html.
 type this:

 cd ~
 mkdir public_html
 chmod 755 .
 chmod 755 public_html
 mv index.html public_html/

 then point your web browser at

 http://your.host.name/~yourusername/

 and it might work. If not post again w/ more details.
