Hi All,

Ok - my apologies for the mail previously and the lack of information - I
was rushed and flustered from it not working.

OK - Here goes:

I am running RH6.1 - upgraded from RH6.0 - and I have a LAN with one
ethernet card on the Linux box - there is need for a dial-in so that
information can be transfered via a web page - ie: we want to be able to
view the webpage that is on the linux box.

OK - what I have done - I have followed the PPP-Howto - I think and your
suggestions - I am able to conect to the box, but cannot ping the IP
address ar do much of anything. I am dialing from a windoze machine -
win98 and using PP: Internet, WinNT,etc - as the dial-up server in Server
types in dial-up networking . OK - when I remove the eth0 ethernet card
from the basic host information sectoin of netconf - I can view the web
page on the linux machine - but that defiets the purpose of the LAN -
which will probably be used at a later date for something else - who knows
- that is the reason I need to get it working now :)

Also is there a way of automating the login - ie - without having to type
in pppd -detach all the time you want to log in??

There is a DHCP server runnign - for the LAN - and I feel that this is
where the problem is - as it does not listen on the ppp side - only eth0??
The DHCP server works well and we are not connected to the internet at all
times = only when needed - we manually dial-in to an Internet provider.
That works fine as well.

I hope I did not leave anything out.

Many Thanks
