Odd Linux Problem

  Odd problem, running RH 6.0 kernel 2.2.12 and Gnome 1.53 I downloaded
some files from e.themes.org  Here's what happened, I downloaded the
files as myself into my home directory and found that if I tried to cp
*.etheme or mv *.etheme, it told me I didn't have permission to moving
the files (into a directory I had permissions on) and when I hit tab
with *.e  it didn't complete. However if I used the begining letter of
the file it would complete. Did I miss something?
