Well redhat-6.1 has done the SysvInit tingy again, which i might add seems a
good idea.

When startx is invoked it looks in $HOME for a files called .xinitrc .Xclients
and basicly other files starting with .X if they are not found
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc will be used, that file then once again looks into $HOME
for .Xclients if it is not found it will then use /etc/X11/xinit/Xclients which
then in turn looks into the system-wide configuration files, one of which
defines the default window-manager, that is /etc/sysconfig/desktop, xclients
greps for the name of the window manager in "desktop" so if you edit that file
and enter a one liner as;
KDE
Then kde will be started when startx is invoked, that file is possably the
reason why Another Level is getting started, which means you dont have a
personal configuration file in your home directory.

Possably the best thing to do is create a file called .Xclients in your home dir
and place the following line in it/

exec startkde

I cant check my system to see if thats correct, i change everything here to
suit my needs and sometimes forget just what goes into particular files.
But both methods will work.
