I was wondering if any of you gurus out there could tell me if it's
possible to set the hardware clock to GMT and allow the software to
show local time. If so, is it possible to have GMT show up on
outgoing email headers?

I'm running Kernel 2.2.5 and RH6.0, KDE, and using kmail for the time
being. I checked out the clock mini-howto, but it didn't seem to have
any information I could use. I also read hwclock's man page, and
succeeded to set my hardware clock, but can't alter the time shown
when I load KDE--even when I set /etc/localtime as a sym link to
/usr/share/zoneinfo/America/*filename*

If the answer is out there, I must have missed it. Any idea what docs
I can read to learn more about this?
