After the lights went out and, after a short time, came back on, here is
what my Linux computer came up with after file check failures and so on.
'**An error occurred during the file system check.
** Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot when you leave the shell.
** Give root password for maintenance (or type Control-D for normal startup):
I give the root pwd and then the root prompt:
root@localhost /root]#
What do I do now to get the system up and working again?
