Some of it is captured in the dmesg buffer. To see it, run "dmesg" -- to
capture it a bit more permanently, run "dmesg >somefilename".
Some of it is (usually - depends a bit on your setup) logged by syslogd .
Exactly where depends on what you have in /etc/syslog.conf . Try
/var/log/messages to start.
Some of it seems not to be captured anywhere ... at least not anywhere that
I've ever found.
