Hello:
I have the following setup on my Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop:
/dev/hda1 - Windows NT
/dev/hda2 - linux Swap
/dev/hda3 - RedHat 6.0
Everything works fine. I am using NT's OS Loader to choose to
boot NT or Linux.
Here is the problem:
I just bought a Redhat 6.1 CD. I booted from the CD,
and ran the text installation.
Next, I answered English for the language and us for the keyboard.
When it asked what type of installation I wanted, I chose to
Upgrade an Existing Installation.
The installation then reported the following error:
Error mounting ext2 filesystem on hda1: Invalid argument.
and then the installation aborts.
my linux partition is hda3, not hda1. The redhat 6.0 CD was
able to recognize it correctly.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
I dont want to re-install the entire OS.
Thanks,
Neil.
