2 compilers on one system

Hello ,

1)  Is it possible to use to version of gcc on one system ?
  What are possible conflicts ? What about glibc ?

2) What program should I use to get my mail from a Netware server
xxx.yyy.zzz.hhh if I am on a linux box xxx.yyy.zzz.hhh1 ?
