I have used Readhat 6.1 i used modulated ax25 support along with netrom bpq
and scc.
I now have gone back to slackware on my Radio server.

I cannot speak for anything other than ax25/netrom/scc/bpqether.
With those i have never had any problem at all with regards to unresolved
symbols.
Unresolved symbols are normally a result of loading a module out of turn,
so if we need 2 modules to do one job we need to load number 1 first,
loading number 2 without number 1 will result in the symbol problem.

If you were to load everything by hand, Eg, at the command prompt then it
would look something like;

modprobe ax25
modprobe netrom
modprobe bpqether
modprobe scc
sccinit

What happens when you do modprobe ax25 first then load the next driver.??

The 2 unresolved symbols you showed in the last mail were as i recall;
ax25_rebuild_header
ax25_encapsulate
Now those are symbols from the ax25 module (or so i belive according to)

cat /proc/ksyms | grep ax25_*

c442b1a8 ax25_encapsulate       [ax25]
c442b2ec ax25_rebuild_header    [ax25]
That is not a complete list.

Now having read in more depth your orgiganal message why i ask are you
trying to do;
insmod hdlcdrv
On the web site you say scc pciscc.????
