You seem to have tried everything except telling the pager to use it's
normal border :)
The pager remember what border it last used, unless instructed
otherwise. The bad theme set a dodgy border, that's all.
Hold ALT and right-click on the pager, go to "Border Style", and
change it to "PAGER", or whichever you prefer. That is all :)
If you wish to stop using gnome session management, find the file in
your home directory which loads gnome-session. It will either be:
.xinitrc
.xsession
.Xclients
Edit the file, and find the line:
exec gnome-session
Replace this line with
exec enlightenment
and restart X.
If you have none of these files, create a .xsession and make it
executable (chmod +x .xsession) and put that line in it.
An unrelated point, from reading your mail. Don't run as root. Create
a user account and use that. Then use "su" to become root only to
conduct priviledged tasks. Trust me :) Running as root is a *massive*
security violation, especially on a machine connected to the internet,
and also exposes you to the danger of catrastrophic mistakes with
the unrestricted access of root :)
