What is the "it" that has "a problem" seeing the mouse? The kernel (that is,
does it have serial-port support installed)? the text console (that is,
gpm)? XFree86? The fixes are different depending on which it is ... and on
what "problem" it is having.
So you will really have to describe this in more detail to get help. Also
tell us what kernel version you have installed ("uname -a"). And how you
"manipulated" the BIOS.
Whatever the problem, lilo appends aren't the way to go ... or at least I
can't think of any mouse problem that a lilo append will fix.
