hmm, I'm pretty sure it is a hercules mono card (it says so on the board...). I got a copy of somebody's XF86Config-file who uses a monochrome hercules monitor and card. The problem is that I now get a message that the horizontal timings are invalid. I also read somewhere that the hercules mono card is not supported in some version of Xfree. How can I check the version of Xfree, and how do I calculate the monitor timings (modelines)? I'm very sure that the resolution I have to use is 720x348 (standard for hercules mono) and color depth is 1.
