Its done at boottime on Redhat systems, i belive you need to edit
/etc/sysconfig/network
The define is.
IPFORWARDING=true
Or something simalar.
On the command line you can do;
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
Thats it.
