Depends on what you're doing. With 16 megs, if you run big X apps (e.g.,
Netscape, GIMP), you'll live with a lot of swapping -- too much for my
taste, but people differ in their tolerances for slowness. For a machine
running X and anything interesting, I'd use a minimum of 32 megs RAM. Most
of my mid-range machines are P150s or P166s, but the one P133 I use, with 64
megs RAM, runs fine ... CPU speed should be fine.
