Hey, I want to get my system to autoshutdown when the power goes out before
the UPS runs out of juice.

I see in inittab a line that is suppose to handle this sort of thing, but I'm
not sure how to get my UPS to communicate to my Linux Box and make all of that
work.

I'm running RH6, and an APC SmartUPS V/S 650. It has a serial connection that
goes from the UPS to one of the serial ports on the Linux box, but after that,
I'm not sure what to do to get linux to reconize a power fault state via the
serial port.

Any insight from this vast source of higher wisdom?

Thanks
