I have just installed 6.2 here on one of my boxes, i had no problem at all.
I burned my own image as well which i got from tucows.
As to what is happening at your end i do not know, your explanation is far
to skecthy, pls, tell us what you did when using fdisk, how did you define
your partitions with disk druid, and if possable try hitting ctrl-alt F2 3
or 4 and see what the log file says..
O yes, just what is "madea bootable CD" ?????.
The iso image on all mirror sites is a bootable image.
