Has anyone had any success setting up any of the Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Cards (in my case an nc100.... it's a pci card) in linux? Currently I'm running Turbolinux workstation 6.0.... which seems to have a bunch of tulip drivers included. (which appears to be what the hardware is looking for according to the supplied driver disk. (i tried running insmod tulip.o and then running ifconfig but no eth devices seemed to be detected) but turbolinux still refuses to detect the card. Any suggestions? The machine also has some kind of crystal soundfusion (lol... high quality isn't it) sound card in it. How would I go about determining the precise model, and where would I i be able to determine the 16 bit dma? also how can i set it so that instead of receiving a lilo prompt and input seeming to require how can i make it boot linux immediately? another round of newbie questions for y'all ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
