I am attempting to do exactly the same thing. From what I've found, samba
(www.samba.org) is the best solution. It provides a program called
smbclient which, when used with an included script (smbprint) can be used
to print from a Linux box to a shared NT printer. I haven't yet gotten it
working, mostly because configuring the smbprint script and /etc/printcap
are throwing me. I'm trying to get this working with an HP LaserJet 4. Can
anyone help out here? Got a printcap entry for me?
