Its not a question of adding a port, its a question of correcting something
which seems to be a recuring problem.

Make sure you have the following line in your /etc/modules.conf or
/etc/conf.modules file.

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc

Now try;

modprobe lp

cat filename > /dev/lp0

or use your printool icon or whatever to try printing.
