there is something exactly like Network Neighbourhood and it's called
knetmon (works in Kde), it needs Samba to mount resources, but so far it
didn't worked for me to mount resources (I just got it yesterday :).You
can download it from http://www.rz.tu-ilmenau.de/~lekus/netmon.html.
