I can logon with the scrip tool provided in KDE, I placed the following
expect ogin
send (my login)
expect assword
send (my password)
and it works as I can log onto the ISP and gain presence on the server, This
has been confirmed
by my ISP as they can monitor their users., or at least I could till i tried
to configure my ppp myself.

I had to change some of the settings, and tell it to ignore connect and
instead identify
carrier, to inform itself of correct dialling, This does have its drawbacks
as my ISP also uses the command
NO Carrier,

I think NT is the only Microsoft product I have ever actually liked, and
enjoyed. I am moving to
Linux because of cost, I can assure you that Microsoft stuff is getting more
and more
expensive in the UK and as they release more , you need to get larger
Drives, more memory etc. I
at the moment do not have a machine that works and am borrowing my friends.
Great eh,

I have tried to setup my own script for it , but with not much luck. I have
ppp installed, and have got stuck quite severely on the actual ppp script.

I palced ppp-0n, off, on-dialer in my ppp folder after editing the to show
all of my detail,
ran netcfg, and added an interface, with ppp, installed phone number etc,
gone along with netcfg in teh create ppp dialog box.
I go to the command prompt and type /etc/ppp/ppp-on , I then get further
errors which follow
