Up until now I've been installing programs via RPMs. However, as I wish to grab that
upgrade to php 4 and, as of yet, I have not been able to find an rpm version I guess
that source in the only option for me.

My question is:
How can I determine the directory a program, like mysql or postgresql, has been
installed in? (Seeing as it lists some default directories and none of those
directories seem to exist on my system... both mysql and postgresql are up and running)
