Hi all. Redhat6.1 my box is www.ajstarkey.com I'm having a problem w/ Fetchmail connecting to sendmail. "error problems connecting to localhost". No other debug messages. I've had this working before. And I went through the steps several times trying to find something I may have missed. I am having several problems that may or may not be connected: 1) my box keeps insisting on changing 192.168.0.2 to netmask 255.255.255.255, but leaves broadcast at 255.255.255.0. /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 swears it's telling route to use 255.255.255.0. Is there anything between ifconfig and /sbin/route that may take over? 2) Pine will not pick up my SMTP but will send via my pop3. 3) can anyone suggest a way to quote any replies to this message?? I am using pine to send and StarOffice to retrieve. I have no idea how to copy to register in gnome and paste in a vt. Is there a way to share the mailboxes without reformatting the messages. I've heard of a common protocol for this, but don't remember where.
