Its a xfree version problem, redhat 6.0 included a version which had poor
support for that video card, simply because there were so many problems at
first with obtaining the proper chipset feachers.

Now there is full support in xfree 3.3.6 ( i belive) thats the version
which included a decent driver.

There are a few alternatives around which work well also.
I used the XFCom_SiS which i got from the SuSe home page, dont know if it
is still there. To find out more about your problem consult the archives at;

Use the search engine to look for words like SiS and or  6326
