I can't advise you on setting up your box as a subdomain, but I do DSL tech support 
for BellSouth.  You'd better check w/ your DSL provider about the static IP.  Most 
don't supply a static, it's all going to a PPP authentication of some sort, w/ dynamic 
IPs.  I think Telocity does offer statics, but you might want to check it out.  I'm 
going w/ a cable modem later this year, and I will have to figure out a workaround for 
the PPP thang, but, if nothing else, I'll have to run the authentication program under 
Wine.  Best of luck!!
