i was playing around with o'reilly's 'learning red hat linux' and did a
custom install to get used to linux and generally just play around. i
fooled around with linuxconf and probably changed something i shouldn't have
and started getting a core dump every time i logged in. so i just did
another install over the original, except this time i did a server install,
because i eventually want to turn it into a server. so to get on with
it...i now want to get on the net via my cable modem that i use on my
windows machine. so what do i do now? what's my next step?
