I dont quite understand why you are having so much trouble, however i
cannot give you a direct solution to this problem all i can say is i did
the following which worked for me.
Star office is installed in /home/pa3gcu/office52
I removes that directory and its contents and did a new install, the only
message i say was a message saying that in my X cobfiguration files were
found concerning staroffice, it asked delte overwrite overwrite-all, i
choose overwrite all and everything was installed.
Could it be you have a directory for staroffice in your home directory.???
