Hi,
Somebody send me a cd with Star Office 5.1 in German. I installed it, however,
I have some problem understanding their lingo. Therefore, I decided to buy the
English version. I un-installed the German version as per instructions and
tried to install the English version. I did not succeed since it is looking
for some file under /var/.
When then I tried to re-install the German version the same thing it is
looking for the same file. Now I am theoretically left with no version, except
that I had targziped /usr/local.
I am using RH6.2. When I tried to just delete from the console the entire
folder of Star Office I could not install the English version it claiming that
Star Office is installed.
Question: does somebody know how to eradicate all traces of Star Office. Where
are those files telling that it is installed when in fact I had deleted the
for me visible program?
