Thanks James, my uncertainty is over the penultimate step. Once I've 
upgraded both (say 147GB -> 1TB), whether I end up with only the first 
147GBs of the each 1TB drive used for the virtual disk. Did you need to 
do anything special to expand the virtual disk size?

Anyone with experience with the SAS6/iR (aka RAID for dummies) would be 
appreciated :-)
