Hello Everyone,

I'm forwarding this as this bug affects use of KVM on newer Dell
machines. The issue itself is described in rhbz#571991

There's a patch ready for libvirt. Without it everytime a TAP device is
attached or detached from a network bridge (i.e. whenever any vm is
started, stopped or restarted). The bridge-interface will lose network
connectivity because it changes its MAC.
This usually means that your ssh/xdmcp/whatever session to the host will
break whenever you start or stop a VM.

Maybe someone at Dell is willing to push Red Hat to fix it. We were hit
by that issue on all our new R710 boxes and currently run an in-house
built of libvirt to work around it.

Regards,
Andreas Rogge

This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker
issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release.

** If you would still like this issue considered for the current
release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on
your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. **
