Thanks for the input from several people, currently the CD does not want to boot but looks like there maybe other ways, time for me to search and do some reading.
Thanks for peoples input so far, gives me some direction. Search forums for live openmanage (I think it's Centos or Fedora). Or use DLT... which is bootable and very small :) Cheers -- Kind Regards Chris Skretowski MCSE: S+M, MCTS -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of david o'donnell Sent: 21 July 2010 11:07 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Perc 4e/Di driver update - but now it hangs on reboot I have tried to enter setup to disable raid but I cannot enter the setup menu. Does anyone know if there is a way to get past this on POST or anyway to reflash the RAID card. In fact any ideas are welcome at the moment. ----- Original Message ---- From: david o'donnell <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, 20 July, 2010 20:31:48 Subject: Perc 4e/Di driver update - but now it hangs on reboot I just updated the driver for the Raid controller as OSM was telling me the driver was out of date. I am running Oracle Enterprise Linux on a Dell Poweredge 2850 and everything seemed fine up to this point. I cannot access the raid controller using <CTRL>M or any other function I am guessing to make myself a bootable Linux disk with the RAID_Driver.bin on it and trying again that way. Any tips or clues of how to get myself out of this? _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq This email may contain information which is privileged or confidential.
